Places to avoid in Belgrano

In Belgrano there’s a big stadium called ‘Estadio River Plate’, it’s located between the avenues Figueroa Alcorta and Udaondo.

This stadium is one of the most important in the country and one the biggest with a capacity for 76.000 spectators. Concerts are also hosted in this big venue.

However, it’s advisable to avoid walking around the stadium when there’s an important local match. Mainly because you’ll see hundreds of people trying to get to the stadium and after the match you might want to avoid running into the crowd, especially the ‘barra bravas’ (hooligans).

Just check with your host or google to see if there’s an important match happening and plan a day to visit other nearby neighbourhoods like Palermo, Recoleta or even Puerto Madero (which is one the safest! You can read more about it here)
