This area is called Palermo Hollywood due to all the TV studios and movies production companies situated in the area.
It’s also one of the best places to have a meal out, there are sophisticated restaurants like japanese and other restaurants where you can try the famous Argentinian meat.

Palermo Hollywood is considered a safe area, you’ll see city police officers walking around the streets. From my experience it feels safer than other neighbourhoods.

Palermo Hollywood is a great area to go to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, lovely bookshops and parks. Even though it feels generally safe, you should always look after your belongings.
When walking around this part of Palermo, you’ll meet tourists and locals alike enjoying good food or a drink. During the weekend is the busiest time and it’s advisable you visit this area while it’s crowded.
Remember that in all these areas you should take the regular precautions you do when visiting touristic places.
Places to avoid in Palermo Hollywood
There aren’t many places to avoid in Palermo Hollywood.
The best advice is to avoid walking late hours at night alone. Like any other neighbourhood in a big city, you should stay around busy areas, where you can find restaurants or shops easily in case of needing it.
If you want to avoid people asking for money, food or trying to sell you something while you eat your meal sitting at a table outside the restaurant, make sure you book a table inside in advance. You can also ask if there are any available tables inside, it might be more difficult on the weekends at night time.
