An eSim is a great way to use a cellphone in a foreign country without the hassle of buying a physical sim card. With an eSim, you get access to a local network so you can have internet when you arrive in Argentina.

Always check that your phone is compatible with an eSim. To check this you can dial *#06# and press call. If you see an EID number there, your phone should be compatible.

Airalo Esim
Airalo offers two options for people travelling to Argentina. You can choose 1GB of internet for 7 days for $6.50 or 3GB of internet for 30 days for $13. The Airalo eSim will allow you to connect to the Personal network.
In order to get an Airalo eSim, you should download the app from the app store and choose your country and pay. Your eSim will start working when you connect to the local network(In this case the network is called “Personal”)
Holafy Esim
Holafy is a lot more expensive but you get more internet for your money. You can buy a package for $44 for 15 days for 6GB of data. This package could be for you if you need to use a lot of internet.
Holafy works a little bit differently. You need to buy the package from their website and then scan the QR code that they send to you. You may need to use a different device like a laptop to show the QR code and then scan it with your phone.
Yesim
Yesim offers four different packages for Argentina depending on how much internet and the length of your stay.
In order to get started with Yesim, you can either buy a package from their website or their app. I think it is better to use their app as it is easy to use and you just need to follow the steps.
Phone Compatibility
Only some phones are compatible with eSims. These include popular modes such as:

Samsung Galaxy Z,20,21,22
Google Pixel 3,4,5,6
Xiaomi and Huawei phones are not compatible. I have checked my Xiaomi phone and there is no eSim number available.
