There aren’t as many five-star hotels in Buenos Aires as in many other capital cities but you can find some luxury hotels to stay in for your trip to Buenos Aires.
We chose The Marriott Hotel quite frankly because it has the best location out of all the five-star hotels in Buenos Aires. The Marriott is situated on Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world.
The Marriott
The location of the Marriott is very central and you can see the Obelisk from the entrance. The great thing about the location of the Marriott is that it is within walking distance of many of our 50 things to do in Buenos Aires.
The reception staff is very helpful if you have a problem and the rooms are quite big. Some of the fixtures need updating but the swimming pool and gym more than make up for that.

Melia Hotel Buenos Aires
There appear to be two Melia hotels in Buenos Aires but we chose the one near the shopping streets of Calle Florida and San Martín on Avenida Reconquista.
The Melia Hotel is usually cheaper than the Marriott and like many places in Buenos Aires, the rooms are a bit dated. It is a well-priced hotel if you want somewhere central with a swimming pool.

Loi Suites Recoleta
The Loi Suites Hotel is situated in the fashionable neighborhood of Recoleta. It is a great place to stay to really get a feel for Buenos Aires as you have great museums and markets on your doorstep.

Mio Buenos Aires
The Mio Hotel is also in Recoleta so remember you are just a little bit outside the city center. To be honest most of your tours will pick you up from your hotel and you can take the hop-on-hop-off bus from Recoleta. Recoleta is a bit nicer to stay in if you want to get that neighborhood feel with lovely bars and restaurants.
The Mio Hotel is a bit smaller than the other hotels but still has a nice pool and spa. The breakfast does not have as many options as some of the bigger hotels.

Hotel Madero Buenos Aires
This is a great value-for-money hotel situated in Puerto Madero. Puerto Madero is a high-end neighborhood in Buenos Aires and has been recently developed. There are plenty of upmarket bakeries and restaurants nearby.
The Hotel Madero Buenos Aires has some lovely features including a deck with beautiful views over Puerto Madero (There is a lot of green space in this area). For Longer stays in Buenos Aires
If you are staying longer in Buenos Aires, then I have the perfect place for you!
I usually recommend people to stay in the neighborhood of Palermo for more extended stays as it has fewer touristy things to do but more parks and restaurants.
If you choose to stay in Palermo, check out the boutique hotel called Home Hotel. The owner of the hotel told me that many guests stay there for months at a time. The Hotel is small and usually booked out so try to make a reservation early. This really is the place to unwind in Buenos Aires especially if you love plants.
